was somewhat "released" in same autums,
introducing two male singers. After military service,
in July 2002 Matti started to record and organize
second Ultimatium's demo, "End of Darkness".
And as the name says it clear, the demo brought Ultimatium
out from dark and into a light. Demo was well received
amongs the European netzines. Reason for this small
succes was clear, starting track was sang by now Dreamtale-vocalist
J. Ahola. The song "Soldier og Light" also
hit the TOP40 in mp3.com's power metal-charts one
day, in position 40 and all the songs got total amount
of 1010 download/streams in December 2002 in mp3.com.
The beginning of 2003, Ultimatium hooked up with guitarist
Harri Niskanen and bassist Tuomo Juntunen and later
with vocalist JT Partanen. After some technical problems
Ultimatium succesfully recorded four-song demo "Follow
the Star". COuple of songs was freely distributed
in internet, but not for long. After the succes with
song "In Winter Nights" (#6 on Mikseri.net
metal charts, #39 on mp3.com PowerMetal-chart), Ultimatium
signed with Mastervox Records. On October 2003 Ultimatium
hit the Mastervox Studios to record their debut album
"New Dawn". After recordings Ultimatium
chanced the drummer and nowadays Petteri Moilanen
is responsible for Ultimatium's faster performance.
Ultimatium also made a music video of the song "Follow
Me" with Marko Haapala.
Ultimatium recorded their second album during years 2006-2007 with
two new members: Tomi Viiltola and Tony Qvick and
"Hwainoo" is released 16.4.2008. Hwainoo is an ancient name for the areas residing in both sides of the Gulf of Bothnia that are these days parts of Finland and Sweden.
Currently the modern name for Hwainoo is Kainuu that is still used for the eastern parts of Finland.
